hotel recoommendations and areas to walk out.

hi im in the process of looking at hotels for next year. What is a good location for walking out to get breakfast and trendy bars in the pm ( doesnt need to be trendy lol) with restaurants .

hotels im considering so far are the :

Conrad

Four seasons

mariott harbour

Pelican

or any other great recommendations Ritz carlton is a bit over budget .

would prefer to stick within the Marriott group to collect points but very taken with the size of rooms at the conrad.

looking at staying 9 nights does this seem to long.

it will be a trip to relax , eat/drink and do some sight seeing.

Weather wise im looking at mid oct or early nov - weather patterns today seem good so im assuming its pretty similar most years. i will def have some pool time each day.

Thanks in advance

Fort Lauderdale is a great choice for a relaxing getaway with good weather in mid-October or early November. The city offers plenty of options for dining, bars, and poolside relaxation, with walkable areas that make it easy to enjoy a mix of sightseeing, eating, and drinks.

Regarding the hotels you’re considering:

  • Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach: This is a newer, luxury property with spacious rooms and a modern design. It’s right on the beach, has excellent pool and spa facilities, and offers walkable access to several restaurants and casual cafes along the beachfront. The room size is a definite advantage, especially for longer stays.
  • Four Seasons Hotel: Very upscale with top-notch amenities and service. Located slightly south along the beach, it’s still walkable to several dining options, though the vibe is quieter and more resort-like. Great for pool time and relaxation, but fewer casual bars within a short walk.
  • Marriott Harbor Beach: A classic beachfront Marriott with access to the beach, pool, and on-site dining. There are nearby restaurants and bars within a short drive, but walkable options are a bit limited compared to Las Olas Boulevard or the main beach promenade.
  • Pelican Grand Beach Resort: Offers a more boutique, historic-feel property with beach access, pool, and casual dining. Walkable restaurants are nearby, but you may need a short ride for trendier evening options.

Other recommendations:

  • Consider staying near Las Olas Boulevard, which is the heart of Fort Lauderdale’s walkable dining and nightlife scene. There are several Marriott options nearby if you want to collect points, such as the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port.
  • Walking along Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard also gives access to cafes, casual dining, and bars for sunset drinks.

About the length of stay:

  • Nine nights is reasonable if your plan is to relax, enjoy pool and beach time, and explore the city at a leisurely pace. It gives you flexibility to mix full days of relaxation with a few days of sightseeing without feeling rushed.
  • Mid-October to early November typically has very pleasant weather: daytime temperatures in the mid-80s°F (29°C) and lower humidity than summer, making pool and beach days very enjoyable. There’s also less rain than peak summer months, so outdoor dining and walking around is convenient.

Summary and suggestion:

If you prioritize large, modern rooms, walkable dining, and easy beach access, the Conrad is likely your best fit, even if slightly above budget. If Marriott points are a priority, the Marriott Harbor Beach or a property near Las Olas Boulevard could work well. Nine nights is not too long for a combination of beach, pool, and casual exploration, especially with the good weather in October/November.
