When we refer to Yushan Island, we're referring to Beiyushan, part of the Yushan Islands. The image above is a panoramic view of Beiyushan. Aside from the fishing village and a few scenic spots, there's no other sign of development. Beiyushan is small, only 0.5 square kilometers, and a circumnavigation takes only an hour or two.

Sign Lighthouse
The red and white lighthouse is the symbol of Yushan Island, known as the "largest lighthouse in the Far East." The original construction of the Yushan Island lighthouse was completed in the 21st year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty. The Shanghai Customs spent 50,000 taels of silver on it, initially consisting of just the tower and the light fixture. The lighthouse was destroyed twice, and the current one was rebuilt in 1985 on the original site with approval from the Ministry of Transportation.
Immortal Bridge
When you walk on the island, it is a "bridge", but when you look at it from the sea, it is a huge "doorway", which is a masterpiece of nature.
The "Immortal Bridge" is located in the air and spans above the raging waves. How to get to the island
Yushan Island is 27 nautical miles from the mainland, requiring a ferry from Shipu, Xiangshan District, Ningbo. Due to a daily limit of 500 people, and only one or two ferry trips per day, ferry tickets from Shipu to Yushan Island are often in short supply during holidays. Furthermore, the distance makes the sea more susceptible to weather, so it's important to pay close attention to the weather before your trip.

If you're driving, drive to the Shipu Town Water Passenger Transport Center pier and then take a boat to the island. The Shipu Town Water Passenger Transport Center has free parking for overnight parking.
The boat to Yushan Island departs from Shipu Water Passenger Transport Center Wharf. The slow boat (2.5 hours to arrive) costs 160 yuan per person per trip, and the fast boat (1.5 hours to arrive) costs 220 yuan per person per trip.

Accommodation and food on the island
stay
There are two ways to stay on the island: B&B and camping.
After all, it is an island far away from the mainland, and the living conditions on the island are relatively average: electricity is limited and fresh water is in short supply.
Because new buildings on the island require approval from relevant departments, the homestays on the island are all renovated by the farmers themselves.
There are dedicated campsites on the island, and tent rentals are available. Most visitors recommend camping for the perfect view of sunrise and sunset.
B&B: Charged per person, generally need to order three meals a day, about 350 yuan per person, 2-3 people room, the price of each home is similar, weekends and holidays prices are slightly higher.
Camping: Each B&B offers camping equipment rental for around 100 yuan a day. You can shower at night in the B&B where you rent a tent, for 10-20 yuan per person.

The custom on the island is to eat at the hotel where you stay.
Breakfast is simple, consisting of porridge and steamed buns, while lunch and dinner are all fresh seafood. For lunch and dinner, you need to share a table, usually 8-10 people per table, and the portions are generous, so you're guaranteed to be full.
If you're camping, dining at a B&B costs around 100 yuan per person for lunch and dinner, and you'll also need to share a table. The advantage of dining at a B&B is that there's a wider variety of dishes, including plenty of freshly caught seafood.
There are few restaurants on the island, but there are seafood noodle shops. A bowl of seafood noodles costs about 25 yuan. If you want to save money, you can also bring some convenience foods and fresh water with you.
Precautions
1. You need to check the weather before traveling. If you encounter a typhoon, you will not be able to go to the island.
2. The sea is rough, so it is recommended to bring seasickness medicine and take it before boarding the ship.
3. There is a power limit on the island, so remember to bring a power bank, especially when camping.
4. The island boasts a pristine natural environment, and the sun is incredibly scorching, so be prepared for sun protection and mosquito repellent. The winds can be very strong on the island, so if you choose to wear a sun hat, make sure it has a strap.
5. There is no beach on Yushan Island, and the shore is full of reefs. It is not only easy to get scratched, but there are no professional lifeguards if an accident occurs, so swimming is strictly prohibited.
