"Qin" refers to the Qinling Mountains and "Ba" refers to the Daba Mountains. The two majestic mountain ranges together form the Qinba Mountains, which stretches more than 1,000 kilometers from east to west and has a total area of about 300,000 square kilometers. Here, the mountains are high and the valleys are deep, the forests are dense, and the rivers are dense, with countless wonders and beautiful scenery.

The Qinba Mountains are full of famous mountains, excellent vegetation and abundant rainfall. The Qinling Mountains in the north not only divide my country into north and south in a geographical sense, but also separate the Yangtze River system and the Yellow River system. The Han River and Jialing River were born in the Qinba Mountains, providing sufficient water guarantee for the Yangtze River system, and the Heihe River also provides water supplement for the Yellow River. Therefore, the Qinba Mountains are known as China's "central reservoir".

Abundant water resources have created a humid climate, with vast virgin forests covering the area. There are countless peaks above 2,000 meters above sea level, making the Qinba Mountains a paradise for animals and plants.
Giant pandas, golden monkeys, takins, crested ibis, black storks... these familiar little animals all regard the Qinba Mountains as their only home. This is China's precious "biological gene bank".

The 300,000 square kilometers of land in the Qinba Mountains not only supports tens of millions of people, but also gave birth to the splendid civilization of China. The Qin and Han dynasties rose here, laying the foundation for China's thousand-year history and leaving behind countless legends. The most well-known one is probably "repairing the plank road in the open and crossing Chencang in secret"!

Hanzhong City, located in the Qinba Mountains, has been called "Tianhan" since ancient times and is known as the birthplace of Han culture. The fertile land here provided the most powerful support for the ancient capital Chang'an, creating a splendid history of the ancient capital for thirteen dynasties!

In this fierce competition, a wonderful chemical reaction is quietly taking place in the Qinba Mountains, and the most stunning and dazzling colors of the year are about to bloom.
Due to the unique terrain of the Qinba Mountains, the autumn colors here always come later than in other places. From August to September every year, cold air from Siberia begins to move south in large numbers, targeting the warm and humid air currents across China. When the cold air reaches the foot of the Qinling Mountains, it finds that its way forward is blocked by the Qinling Mountains.

The warm and humid air currents that had been entrenched in the Qinba Mountains for a long time hurriedly prepared to retreat southward, but found that the Daba Mountains to the south of the Qinba Mountains blocked their southward movement, causing the warm and humid air currents to stay here for a long time, resulting in the phenomenon of frequent clouds and fog and continuous autumn rains in the Qinba Mountains.

Because the Qinba Mountains are covered with fog, heat cannot escape during the day under the protection of the clouds. At night, the upper part of the clouds cools rapidly, while the lower part warms, producing a convection effect that leads to night rain. This is why the great Tang Dynasty poet Li Shangyin wrote on an autumn night in the Qinba Mountains: "You ask when I will return, but I have no idea. The night rain in Bashan swells the autumn pond. When will we light the candle in the west window together and talk about the night rain in Bashan?"
It is precisely because of the large temperature difference between day and night and the heavy rainfall that a wonderful chemical reaction will occur in the Qinba Mountains in autumn. Every late autumn, the most dazzling colors of the year will be born.

Liuba, nestled in the southern foothills of the Qinling Mountains, is my favorite small town. It's as if the Qinba Mountains have buried their treasures here. "The mountains are bright, the waters are clear, frost arrives at night, and a few trees turn deep red, giving way to pale yellow." The great Tang Dynasty poet Liu Yuxi perfectly captures the autumn scenery of Liuba! From mid-October to mid-November, Liuba's autumn scenery is at its most beautiful. These must-see places are a must-see when visiting Liuba.

The Shizigou Ranch was once the place where Zhuge Liang stationed his troops and raised horses during the Three Kingdoms period. It is an original natural ranch that has not yet been developed and is full of primitive atmosphere. The autumn-colored forests all over the mountains are matched with the open meadow pasture. It is one of the must-see attractions in Liuba.

At the easternmost end of Gaojiang Road, there is a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree, which is 4,000 years old and ranks third in the country. The colorful forests, deciduous Metasequoia and autumn countryside all over the mountain constitute a beautiful existence in the Qinling Mountains.

This is the most romantic scenery in Liuba in autumn. Hundreds of acres of larch have covered this place with a golden carpet, and the stream is gurgling through the canyon. Walking on the wooden avenue in the forest is like walking into a fairy tale world.
