It was my first time in Lishui and Suichang. The natural scenery here intoxicated me. Nanjian Rock and Shenlong Valley made me feel like I had walked into a green and white cloud world, where I enjoyed a two-day and one-night natural holiday.

As a travel blogger and photography enthusiast, I've documented numerous natural landscapes. This time, I visited Nanjianyan Scenic Area, a national photography creation base. After experiencing it myself, I realized it's truly a fantastic place for photography, boasting a variety of beautiful locations for nature photography.
The Cloud-High Glass Bridge is built between two peaks. Standing on it, you can take in the beautiful scenery all around you. From the mountains to the villages covered in loess and green tiles, to the terraced rice fields, and even the distant sea of clouds, everything is clearly visible.
But for most people, such a glass bridge is very challenging and exciting, and walking from the beginning to the end of the glass bridge is already very good.
The entire scenic area, forests, terraced fields, sea of clouds, and villages are shrouded in clouds, like a paradise on earth.
I envy the people who live here, away from the hustle and bustle of the city skyscrapers, and lead a leisurely and slow life.
The terraced fields here are mainly planted with rice, with a staggered height and a strong sense of lines.
A Line of Sky
Tianzhu Peak is like a bamboo shoot with steep cliffs rising from the ground. Qianzhang Rock is opposite Tianzhu Peak. There is little vegetation and the rock walls are flat. The altitude is about 1,150 meters. You can see the spectacular scenery here from the Guanyun Pavilion.
The most anticipated sea of clouds usually forms in the early morning after rain, and the sight of the sea of clouds is very shocking.

The most famous waterfall in the scenic area is the Shenlong Waterfall, which is suitable for visiting in summer. Walking in the valley, every place is cool and refreshing.
The forest vegetation coverage rate of Shenlong Valley is as high as 88.8%, and the vegetation is mostly evergreen broad-leaved forest. In summer, the eyes are full of lush green, and all you can see are green and streams.
The most distinctive landscape of the forest is the waterfall canyon. The waterfall has a drop of more than 300 meters and is known as the "highest waterfall in China".
There are more than 30 scenic spots in the scenic area. If you walk along the trail, you will pass by scenic spots such as Forest Bathing Bar, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and Dragon Emerging from the Mountain.
The most famous waterfall in Shenlong Valley is the three-level waterfall, with a drop of more than 300 meters. The waterfall cascades down from its source at an altitude of 1,080 meters. It has to turn three times before reaching the bottom of Shenlong Valley. The rushing water of the waterfall is like a giant white dragon standing in the valley.

The blast furnace is a centuries-old crafted vessel used by farmers in Suichang, a warm memory passed down through generations. Whether spring, summer, autumn, or winter, you can always see families happily gathered together, sharing delicious food cooked on the blast furnace.
In my memory, the Suichang Fenglu Banquet always has to be served with a few side dishes. They are so hot and spicy that you have to sweat profusely before eating them to get the full flavor.
The restaurant has a rich menu, and the three-story wind stove and wild stream fish wind stove are both Suichang's most distinctive dishes. Suichang people can't have a feast without a wind stove, and their wild and wild spirit is all hidden in a charcoal wind stove.
The three-story hot pot, also known as the "pig-killing dish," features a base of white radish, a middle layer of farm-raised tofu and fresh pig's blood, and a top layer of fragrantly fried pork belly. Fengshou Xiaochao is a down-to-earth farmhouse restaurant. It is not big, but it is very popular and is the favorite stir-fry restaurant for locals.
I recommend you order the chopped pepper brain flower, dragon claw mushroom, beef and bamboo shoot pot, and mountain rice cake, which are all special dishes.
When you come to Suichang, some scenic spots have mountain roads, and self-driving is the most convenient option. The drive between Nanjianyan and Shenlong Valley is only about 20 to 30 minutes. There are also mountain villas, farmhouses and B&Bs near the scenic spots, which are very suitable for weekend self-driving tours.
