Finally, we have waited for it. Just yesterday, Niubei Mountain Scenic Area announced that it will reopen on November 18, 2022!
Winter is the season when the climate in Niubei Mountain is the most stable. If you go to Niubei Mountain now, in addition to enjoying the beautiful sea of clouds, cloud waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, sunrise, Milky Way, starry sky... you will also have the chance to encounter the dreamy Leo meteor shower!
Below are the epidemic prevention policies that everyone is most concerned about. Take out your notebook and write them down!
01 Tourists from outside the province must implement the "test upon entry into Sichuan" policy and undergo three nucleic acid tests in three days (each with an interval of 24 hours or more). After the first negative nucleic acid test certificate is issued, they can move around in an orderly manner.
02 Tourists entering or returning to the state from counties (cities, districts) in high-risk areas within the province must hold a nucleic acid negative certificate within 24 hours. Other tourists entering or returning to the state must hold a nucleic acid negative certificate within 48 hours. After entering the state, they will undergo an "on-site inspection" nearby and leave immediately after the inspection without waiting for the results.
Starting from Chengdu, it takes about 4.5 hours to drive to Niubei Mountain, about 300 km away.

Niubei Mountain, located at the junction of Yingjing County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, and Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, is a branch of Erlang Mountain and forms the watershed between the Qingyi and Dadu Rivers. The summit, at 3,666 meters above sea level, is named Niubei Mountain because of the protruding boulder on one side of the cliff that resembles a bull's head and the slender ridge that resembles a bull's back.
As a 360° viewing platform, Niubei Mountain's diverse natural scenery attracts many photography enthusiasts. The sea of clouds, sunset, sunrise, snow-capped mountains, Buddha's light and star trails are collectively known as the "Six Wonders of Niubei Mountain".
It is dense and even, sometimes gentle, sometimes even, sometimes turbulent, and sometimes pouring down along the ridge. The surrounding mountains are continuous, staggered and layered. Being in the sea of clouds, it feels like coming to a fairyland on earth.
