🍁Autumn is not too late! Autumn is not too late!
Why not come to the real Jiangnan!
🌤️Gusu·Jinling·Ancient Huizhou
Charming scenery and great weather
Let’s visit the autumn of Jiangnan together

The name Anhui comes from Anqing and Huizhou. In ancient times, there was Huizhou Prefecture, which had six counties under its jurisdiction. In the areas of Huangshan in Anhui and Wuyuan in Jiangxi today, the architecture is unique and is the famous Hui style.
🌄In the morning mist and evening haze, when the white walls and green tiles are set against the red Chinese tallow trees and yellow ginkgo trees, every household dries out persimmons, beans, and peppers, creating a series of "Autumn Scenery of Huizhou".

The "No. 1 Strangest Mountain in the World" with its beautiful scenery is a world natural and cultural heritage, and is famous for its unique pines, strange rocks, sea of clouds and hot springs. From November to May of the following year is the peak period of sea of clouds in Huangshan. In late autumn, the autumn scenery of Huangshan is even more charming, with colorful red, orange and yellow maple leaves, layer upon layer. Riding the popular train through the autumn Xihai Grand Canyon is like walking through a colorful oil painting.

Qiyun Mountain, an underrated hidden gem and the most famous mountain in Jiangnan, was cherished by Xu Xiake. A Taoist wonderland, it combines Danxia landforms with stunning natural beauty. Perennially shrouded in mist, it offers a sparsely populated, scenic, and easy climb. The best time to visit is autumn, when vibrant reds, lush greens, and bright yellows embody nature's vibrant palette.

Hongcun, also known as the "Ox-Shaped Village," is known as the "Village in a Painting." It is not only the birthplace of Hui culture but also a key gathering place for ancient Hui merchants. The village boasts 137 Ming and Qing dynasty buildings, surrounded by an intricate water system designed by our ancestors, resembling a flowing Weizhou ink painting. In autumn, the whitewashed walls and green tiles of the Zheng-style buildings, set against the backdrop of golden rice paddies and fiery red maple leaves, create a sense of ancient simplicity and tranquility, as if stepping into the paradise described by Tao Yuanming.

The entrance to the village and surrounding areas are home to numerous tallow trees, as well as sapiums, ginkgo trees, and mountain pepper trees. In late October, the tallow trees begin to turn red, and after the arrival of frost in mid-November, the autumn colors reach their peak. The mountains are ablaze with vibrant foliage, a vibrant interweaving of red, yellow, and purple, shading the ancient dwellings. Visiting here feels like walking into a painting.

Across a drop of nearly 100 meters, dozens of ancient Hui-style dwellings are neatly arranged among the ridges and valleys. Precisely because the terrain is so undulating, lacking large flat areas for drying crops, Huangling's autumn sun drying is a truly iconic sight. Villagers utilize the front and back of their houses and the roofs of their terraces to hang and hang crops for drying. Every household's drying plaques are filled with red peppers, rice, soybeans, and other crops, creating a vibrant and colorful folk painting, earning it a place among the "Most Beautiful Symbols of China."

Shicheng, comprised of Cheng Village and Dai Village, experiences a later arrival of autumn due to its topography, yet its colors are truly stunning, serving as the grand finale of the entire region's autumn colors. The maple trees here are incredibly tall, reaching over 30 meters in height, and the low-lying village appears to rest in their embrace.

Muligong Village, nestled on a mountain ridge, is surrounded by steep cliffs on three sides and nestled against a mountain on one side. Known as "Huangshan's most beautiful alpine village," it boasts a rich Hui culture, beautiful scenery, and a tranquil retreat, perfect for a short stay. In autumn, the village is enveloped in golden ginkgo leaves and fiery red maple leaves, creating a fairytale-like beauty. When the weather clears after rain, a sea of clouds shrouds the village, transforming it into a city in the sky. It's easy to understand the legend that Huangdi achieved immortality by refining elixirs in Huangshan; this truly is a paradise.

In late autumn, the Metasequoia trees along the lakeside gradually turn red, forming a sharp contrast with the emerald green of the lake, like a colorful oil painting. In the early morning or evening, a thin layer of mist often lingers over the lake, adding a touch of fairyland.
Jigongjian is located in the mountains at an altitude of 700 meters. There is no frost all year round. It produces "lantern persimmons". The persimmons are not only sweet to the heart, but also very delicious.
This is the largest tulou complex in southern Anhui. Compared to the blue-brick Huizhou-style buildings, the Yangchan Tulou are undoubtedly unique, with their yellow mud walls interspersed with walls, nestled among the yellow and green mountain trees, forming a dense, angular pattern. The autumn sun-drying here is a true celebration of the harvest, with beans, peppers, persimmons, and other fruits in a vibrant array of colors.

There are only a dozen households living in Xiatai. There are houses exuding an ancient atmosphere, as well as many modern small houses, but the characteristics of black and white Hui style architecture are still retained.
The morning mist, smoke from cooking fires, whitewashed walls and black tiles, and red maple trees condense the autumn colors of Jiangnan into a picture scroll. Be sure to climb to the observation deck in the early morning to witness the morning light over Lu Village. The sunlight filters through the mist and shines onto the village, creating a fairy-like scene.

Everyone says Jiangnan is the best. Speaking of artistic conception and prosperity, there are Yangzhou, Suzhou, and Hangzhou. But the only city that can truly be called "Jing" is Nanjing, besides Beijing.

Nanjing's autumn isn't reflected on the calendar, but on every leaf in the city. Nanjing always feels warmer in autumn. The four seasons are distinct, yet fleeting. It's as if my entire social network is waiting for this moment.
