Meet at the designated China-TravelNote location between 7:00-7:15 and sign in. Check-in is complete at 7:15, and we'll depart on time! Enjoy onboard interactions and itinerary briefings, and have some fun along the way!

Arriving at Santang Village around 11:00, we were greeted by a sea of Ge Sang flowers. It's a sight to behold! (The blooming season is short, expected to end in mid-to-early November.)

After entering Tiantong Mountain, all the focus is on the ginkgo trees. In fact, there are many ancient ginkgo trees in Ningbo, but the ginkgo trees next to the release pond of Tiantong Temple are particularly golden. The row of internet-famous ginkgo trees in Tiantong Temple are printed on the eyes. Tiantong Temple has become an internet celebrity in autumn, but don’t forget Tiantong Zen Temple, one of the five famous temples of Zen Buddhism, known as the "Southeast Buddhist Kingdom". In my impression, she is like a woman who is not worldly and hidden in the fairy mountains. No matter spring, summer, autumn or winter, she is there, isolated and independent, waiting for us to explore her beauty. The self-service vegetarian meal in the temple at noon is a highlight worth visiting.

The ancient Tiantong Temple is accompanied by the "living fossil" ginkgo tree. The colorful mountains in the distance complement the ancient pagoda and temple. Backed by the towering Taibai Peak, "Tiantong" and "Taibai" are like a pair of partners, guarding this autumn pure land all day long.

After dinner, we walked up the ancient trail. The bleak autumn wind along the way brought the message of autumn. On this clear and crisp autumn day, the withering of all things is another kind of blooming.

Around 16:00 we were ready to board the bus back to Shanghai

We arrived in Shanghai around 19:00, and everyone was still reluctant to leave, so we kissed goodbye with tears in our eyes!!!

As of November 28, 2024, the rice in Santang Village has been harvested, and 20% of the ginkgo leaves in Tiantong Temple are left. Please see the comments section for details. The event is proceeding normally and the time for playing in Tiantong Temple will be extended.

Tiantong Temple: Located at the foot of Mount Taibai, 25 kilometers east of Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, it was built in the first year of Yongkang in the Western Jin Dynasty (300 AD). It is one of the five famous temples of Zen Buddhism and is known as the "Southeast Buddhist Kingdom".

The temple covers an area of over 76,400 square meters, with a built-up area of over 38,800 square meters. It boasts 999 rooms across over 30 halls, pavilions, towers, pavilions, dormitories, and residences. Nestled at the foot of the towering Taibai Mountains, the temple is nestled between six peaks to the east, west, and north. Its back rests on the towering Taibai Peak; to its left are the Dongfeng, Zhongfeng, and Rufeng peaks; to its right is the Bowl Peak, a round, sculpted peak shaped like an inverted bowl; and the Yuqi Peak, a steep, precipitous peak resembling an unfurled flag. To the south, the vast expanse of sky and mountains stretches far into the distance, where a lush avenue of pines welcomes visitors on their pilgrimage.
