Secret Meixi | From Xixi South to Daguling, Nanping Bishan Twin Villages

Day 1 Tunxi/Xixi South/Huangshan North High Speed ​​Railway Station → Nanping → Daguling

The driver will confirm the pick-up location and time with you in advance. Please meet at the agreed time and don't be late.

For those who choose to stay in Tunxi the day before, the driver will meet you at the hotel at 08:30 in the morning and then go to Xixi South for a tour to see the popular Bandeng Bridge, which is great for taking photos.

For tourists who stayed in Xixinan the night before, the driver will arrive at Xixinan at 10:30 and depart after meeting you.

If you arrive directly at Huangshan North, you can pick up at Huangshan North Station and go directly to Nanping Ancient Village instead of Xixi South.

10:30 After meeting the driver, we first headed to Nanping Ancient Village (1 hour drive)

Arrive at Nanping, China Film and Television Village, at 11:30 AM. This is the filming location for Zhang Yimou & Gong Li's "Ju Dou" and Ang Lee's "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." The Yang Family Dyeing Factory and Ju Dou Restaurant are all film locations. It's lunchtime, so it's time to savor a delicious bite of the local flavor and discover the Anhui Nanping ham featured in Chen Xiaoqing's "Flavorful World" episode 1, "Between Mountains and Seas."

14:00 After lunch, we will go to Ta Kwu Ling (1 hour drive). Ta Kwu Ling is covered with forests and streams, and the oxygen content is very high. It is said that the oxygen ion concentration measured at the waterfall is as high as 200,000 per cubic centimeter. Coupled with the fragrance of flowers in the forest, people walking in it feel that every breath of air is sweet.

18:00 We will stay in Daguling Scenic Area at night. We can choose to dine at a farmer's house and experience the whole mountain.

Day 2 Daguling → Meixi Township → Bishan → Huangshan North Station

In the morning we woke up naturally, breathing the fresh air in the valley. After breakfast we said goodbye to Daguling.

At 09:00 we set off for the nearby Meixi Secret Land known as the "Little Huangshan" (20 minutes' drive). Outside the ancient village surrounded by mountains, there is a stream that flows all year round. Beside the stream are villages and vegetable fields. The warm spring breeze blows, the mountains turn green, and the flowers and plants are in full bloom. The thousand-acre Yijiangyuan Tea Garden is located here. This is the source of the Qingyi River. Walk into the tea garden and smell the fragrance of spring tea. Sit in the beautiful scenery like a paradise and taste the fragrance of green tea. The trees, fields, and streams under the spring light show the vitality of life, and spring is everywhere~ If you are interested, you can experience the Meixi bamboo raft like a small Guilin, wandering among the mountains and rivers, how pleasant.

Around 10:00 AM, we'll head to Bishan in Yi County (a one-hour drive). While Bishan retains the quintessential historical features of an ancient Huizhou village, it has also gained a modern, artistic flair with its development. Here, you'll find the renowned Bishan Bookstore, the Pig Pen Bar, the Cow Pen Cafe, the Bishan Industrial and Commercial Cooperative, and the Yunmen Pagoda, built during the Qing Dynasty. In spring, Bishan is enveloped in the enchanting fragrance of rapeseed blossoms.

We boarded the bus for the return trip around 13:30 and expected to arrive at Huangshan North Station around 15:00.

Driving time: Daguling to Bishan, about 1 hour; Bishan to Huangshan North Station, about 1.5 hours

There is a small scene every three steps in Daguling, and a large scene every five steps. People are swimming in the painting and birds are flying in the sky. There is no time to get tired. You can bring the elderly and children to play and feel the joy brought by the original ecological beauty of Daguling!

Bishan Village, located in Biyang Town, Yi County, Huangshan City, nestles north of Bishan, a remnant of Huangshan Mountain. It is a renowned ancient village in Huizhou, inhabited by the Wang clan. Within the village are the remains of the Song Dynasty private garden "Peiyun Garden," the Ming Dynasty private school "Gengdu Garden," and the Qing Dynasty pagoda "Yunmen Pagoda." Over 100 well-preserved Ming and Qing Dynasty dwellings and ancestral halls remain, creating a picturesque village.
