Depart from Wuxi · Jilong Mountain | Caving, Camping, Bonfire BBQ, and Cliff Rappelling

Day 1 Wuxi → Tonglu → Jilong Mountain

07:00

Meet and sign in at 07:00 Wuxi Sanyang Square Subway Station Exit 11A (in front of Yunfu Building, Zhongshan Road), and board the bus on time for departure at 07:15.

We drove on the highway together. The tour leader led the interaction, introduced himself and explained the itinerary. We laughed and chatted all the way to our destination.

11:30

After about four hours, we arrived in Tonglu, Zhejiang. After lunch at a local farmer's house, we lightly prepared for our rappelling adventure. We reached a 37-meter drop. At this point, listen carefully to your leader's explanation of the rappelling techniques. Safety first, no slacking! After mastering the essentials, we donned our gear and began descending. Rappelling down the 37-meter drop gives you a true Spider-Man experience. With the wind whizzing past your ears, you'll experience the thrill of speed and excitement in the air.

Return to the campsite in time, set up our tents under the guidance of the team leader, and experience camping under the stars.

At 7:30 PM, bang on the bonfire, bang on the pots and pans, and get ready for the after-dinner outdoor barbecue (included). It's time for fun! Make a noise, sing and dance until the earth trembles!
At 10:00 PM, the sky is full of stars. Time for bed! If you're still too excited to sleep, you can whisper in the mountains...

Driving time: about 4 hours

Notes: 1. Camping is included for this activity. Tents are provided by the local campers and are included in the price. One tent sleeps two people. If you are traveling alone and do not wish to share a tent, you can add a separate tent for an additional 40 yuan per person. Please note this when registering.
2. Sleeping bags and clean bedding will be provided. It can be chilly in the mountains at night, so it is recommended to sleep in your clothes. Those with obsessive-compulsive disorder can bring their own sleeping bags.
3. Caving is exciting and refreshing, so please remember to bring a headlamp, flashlight, or other light source, as well as an extra pair of socks. It is recommended to wear river trekking shoes when caving; if you do not have these, locals will provide you with Jiefang shoes.

Day 2 Tonglu → Wuxi

07:00

Around 7:00 AM, the morning mountain air was exceptionally fresh. We woke up, washed, packed up, and enjoyed a farm breakfast.
Around 8:00 AM, we packed our bags and, led by our leader and guide, headed for the Leopard Cliff. Experience the thrill of wall-climbing on a 70-degree slope. Arriving at the mountain camp, the team rested briefly before unpacking our bags. We then embarked on our courage-boosting adventure, caving in Wolong Cave. Donning our caving gear, our leader and guide led us on an exciting and challenging cave exploration, witnessing the diverse stalactites and hearing the eerie sound of dripping water. Compared to Jinniu Cave, Wolong Cave is a water cave, descending deeper, darker, and with more currents. The trekking distance is also longer, taking about two hours to complete.

I guess everyone was hungry by now, so we had lunch at a farmer’s house at the camp base on the mountain.

12:00

After lunch, we will go down the mountain along the path. If you don’t want to hike down the mountain, you can choose to hire a car to go down the mountain and wait for us to meet you at the foot of the mountain. The cost is at your own expense.

At around 13:40, we arrived at Jinniu Cave, which can be called a dry cave with a relatively open space. The Jesus light at the entrance of the cave is a good place for posing. It took about 30 minutes to get out of the cave and then go down the mountain.

Around 14:30, we boarded the bus and returned, saying goodbye to the local tour leader and Jilong Mountain.

Around 19:30, we returned to Wuxi city. Everyone was still reluctant to leave and kissed goodbye with tears in their eyes!

Driving time: about 4 hours

Notes: 1. Rappelling and caving are considered extreme outdoor sports. China-TravelNote will provide on-site guidance from professional coaches and team leaders. We encourage all participants to listen carefully to and complete the activities, and refrain from any actions that could endanger the safety of the team or themselves.
2. Today's itinerary is a trekking route: Leopard Cliff, Wolong Cave, and Jinniu Cave. The team leader will arrange the order of the excursions based on the actual situation. Please be advised.

Jilong Mountain is located in Tonglu, Hangzhou, on the shores of the Yaolin Fairyland and the Tianmu River. This scenic mountain retreat, traversing prehistoric caves, offers a breathtaking natural landscape. The scenic Jilong Mountain and the precipitous Baizhang Rock, with a slope of nearly 60 degrees, offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. Jilong Mountain, a typical karst landform, rises 818 meters above sea level, nestled within an exposed zone of alpine rock and lava, where a profusion of rocky peaks dominate. Some stand alone, seemingly sculptured, while others curve like waves. Peaks, pillars, ravines, stalagmites, and stone gates interspersed in a staggered pattern, connected by winding paths, create a scene reminiscent of a stone maze.
