Daobei Mountain is located in Foguang Township, Yanshi, Luoyang, near Zhongling Mountain. It is bordered by Songshan Mountain to the east, Wan'an Mountain to the west, Dengfeng to the south, and Yanshi to the north. It is a remnant of Songshan Mountain. The mountain is majestic and a natural wonder that looks like it was chopped by knives and axes. It is named because the mountain looks like the back of a knife, and is also called "Little Skinny Donkey Back" by hikers.
Daobei Mountain, over 1,400 meters above sea level, runs north-south. Surrounded by rugged terrain, only a narrow path connects the mountain's summit. To the east lies Wanzhanggou, to the west lies Qianrenjian, to the south lies Nantianmen, and to the north lies Huaiyuzhai. It overlooks the Yellow River to the north, Maling to the south, Longmen to the west, and Shaolin to the east. Legend has it that this is where Nuwa molded humans from clay and mended the sky. Therefore, it's considered China's first Dragon Mountain and the earliest birthplace of humanity.
