A Short Trip to the Baby Taj ✨

🧳 We visited Itmad-Ud-Daula, or as it's more famously known, the Baby Taj, during our short trip to Agra! Our guide picked us up from our hotel and brought us to the Baby Taj in the evening, just before sunset!

🌞 The skies were clear and beautiful and the temperature in early October was warm but not too hot. We arrived at the Baby Taj to find it fairly quiet.

✨ Baby Taj is often described as a "jewel box", a name it well deserves. The intricate marble inlay, paired with the setting sun, created a beautiful sight to see. The outer design creates a very geometric floral pattern, whilst the inside captures a variety of different art styles. We were not only mesmerized by the incredible architecture, but also the rich history surrounding this monument.

👟 They do not allow you to walk inside the Baby Taj with your outside shoes on, so be prepared to take them off! If you'd rather, there are shoe covers for sale as well. We bought the shoe covers and had a fabulous time exploring inside.

🤍 The atmosphere was so peaceful and serene, we ended up spending a couple of hours here. I highly recommend going in the evening, where you can have a quiet moment to take it all in. We were able to get some stunning photos to remember this amazing place!
