[Ako] Ako Oishi Shrine, a must-see

This shrine enshrines the 47 Ronin, including Oishi Kuranosuke from Chushingura. It is said that the shrine grants the fulfillment of great wishes and heartfelt wishes, as they carried out the raid and avenged their lord. The stone statues of the 47 Ronin lined up along the approach to the shrine are a spectacular sight. This shrine is an essential part of sightseeing in Ako.
