Medinet Habu is the mortuary temple of Ramses III and represents the pinnacle of ancient Egyptian war art. The reliefs on its walls depict the Pharaoh's glorious battle against the "Sea Peoples."
Ancient Egypt built approximately 4,000 temples scattered along the Nile River basin. Today, only a few dozen remain accessible for visitors, most of which are located in southern Egypt. Medinet Habu is often referred to by travelers as the most underrated temple 🛕 and is highly recommended as a must-visit site during your trip to Egypt.
📍 Located on the west bank of Luxor, it can be conveniently visited alongside the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Kings.
📍 Compact in size but well-preserved. Exploring it is neither tiring nor hot, with plenty of shaded areas.
📍 A lesser-known attraction with few tourists, making it easy to capture stunning photos 📷.
