Turkey, Alaçatı: From Kumru Cravings to Sunset Vibes

I finally made it to Alaçatı, and honestly — it felt like stepping into a dream. It’s one of those places where the days are slow, the food is unforgettable, and every moment feels golden. ✨

One of the first things I did? Tried the famous damla sakızlı dondurma (mastic ice cream). It’s creamy, a little chewy, and has this soft floral flavor that’s unlike anything I’ve had before. I got it with pistachio — no regrets. 😋

Later, I grabbed a kumru sandwich from a tiny street place locals recommended. Toasted sesame bread, melted cheese, sucuk… so simple, so good. It hit the spot after a long walk through the town.
In the afternoon, I headed to Deliköy Beach — crystal-clear water, calm breeze, and barely any crowds. It was the perfect place to unwind and watch the sun dip into the sea.

But Alaçatı really shines at night. I ended up back at Deliköy for drinks by the beach — music playing, lights strung between trees, and that magical Aegean air.
