Introducing Longchuan Square

Longchuan Square, located in the southwest corner of Jiangdu District, Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, is a key component of the Yinjiang Scenic Area. This premier "urban living room" in the province, spanning 100,000 square meters, is divided into functional areas. It embodies the essence of "Longchuan Culture" both overall and in detail, integrating the rich connotations of "Dragon Soul" and "Rhythm of Sichuan" with modern expression, showcasing the harmonious unity of man and nature, and subtly embodying the themes of "Dragon," "Water," and "Green."

There is a natural lying stone at the main entrance at the north end of the sunken square, engraved with the four characters "Longchuan Square" written by Shen Peng, Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. Water gushes out from under the stone, falls layer by layer along the "Longchuan", and flows into the "Longchi" in the center of the square.

The Dragon Pond features a musical fountain, offering stunning views naturally formed to the rhythm of the music. At its center is the square's theme sculpture, "Soaring Dragon." This sculpture, constructed using a modern sculptural technique combining abstraction and realism, weighs over 30 tons and is clad in stainless steel. Standing 21 meters tall, it symbolizes the bright future of the "Longchuan Resort" in the 21st century and serves as the compositional and visual centerpiece of the entire square. Surrounding the Dragon Pond are three rings of activity areas, the inner ring covering 2,000 square meters, signifying the arrival of the new millennium.
