Tourists who travel to Alanya must visit this beautiful mosque, created back in the 13th century and rebuilt during the Ottoman Empire. It is both an architectural monument of the past centuries and today's cultural heritage of Turkey. The Suleymaniye Mosque is not only a monument of medieval architecture, but also a functioning mosque.
The Suleymaniye Mosque in Alanya is located mear the main city attractions - the Alanya fortress - Kalesi.
If tourists want to enter the mosque they should put on special clothes, women should cover their heads with a scarf and take off the shoes. There is a box with clothes in front of the entrance to the mosque so tourists can use that clothes.
