📍Albi, France (Occitanie)
Albi is a rural town in the Occitanie region of southwestern France.
It's nicknamed the "Red City" because its buildings are made of red brick.
The buildings throughout the town are a subtle red hue, and there are many charming houses.
It's a beautiful town both from the outside and inside. It's easily accessible from the southwestern cities of Toulouse and Bordeaux.
The people here are very kind, making it a safe and relaxing place for solo female travelers.
The magnificent cathedral and beautifully manicured gardens are particularly striking.
