A day of 30,000 steps.
Take the cable car to the top of Kok-Tobe Mountain, where you can watch the sunset in Almaty. The top of the mountain is a large playground. Some of the snow-capped mountains are under maintenance and are fenced off.
You can take the cable car or bus down the mountain. We chose to walk down the wooden plank road, but there was no way to go.
After walking a few kilometers down the mountain, we returned to the main road.
We had dinner near the homestay and ordered a pizza, a walnut chicken soup, and a kachapuri. We were shocked by the huge pizza and kachapuri, and the two of us could only eat 1/3. When checking out, we were overcharged by 10,000 KZT. When we asked to check the menu and bill, the waiter said that he had taken the wrong menu and refunded the extra 10,000.
