I am currently traveling in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and I’d like to introduce NAVAT, a restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Kazakh cuisine. NAVAT is a well-known food spot in Almaty with several chain locations throughout the city. I visited the NAVAT branch located just a 10-minute drive from my hotel.

Almaty is often called the "City of Apples" due to its production of diverse and delicious apples, so trying apple juice here is a must. At NAVAT, I ordered freshly squeezed apple juice, which was refreshingly tangy and absolutely delightful.

For the main course, I ordered Beshbarmak, a traditional Kazakh dish featuring horse meat and horse meat sausage served with thin flour noodles. The horse meat was tender and savory, while the horse meat sausage had a burst of rich flavor. The accompanying potatoes were soft and had a great texture. The total cost for the apple juice and Beshbarmak was 8,250 Tenge (approximately 21,700 KRW).

The colorful interior of the restaurant exudes a Kazakh atmosphere, making it a great place to experience local culture while traveling. The staff were also very friendly, which added to the pleasant dining experience.
