The Birthplace of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad

The birth house of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad is located on 18 Lorong Kilang Ais, Persiaran Sultan Abdul Hamid in Alor Setar, Kedah.

This house was built in 1900s, carries the traditional Malay architecture and was bought by Tun Dr Mahathir's dad and this house came unpainted, has no electricity and only one bedroom. Extension was done to this house at a later date.

Tun Dr. Mahathir was born in this house, and stayed till he got married before moving out.

This is indeed a must visit if you are in Kedah.
