🌸A Day Walking with Anne Frank - Memories and Colors in the Jordaan

🌸A Day Walking with Anne Frank—Memories and Colors in the Jordaan

🕍 1. Anne Frank Huis

📍Prinsengracht 263-267, 1016 GV Amsterdam
📅 Daily 9:00 AM–10:00 PM (Advance Reservation Required)

The "Secret Annex" is where Anne Frank and her family hid to escape persecution from the Nazis. The furniture-free space, the remains of posters on the walls, and the actual diary displayed behind glass convey a powerful message to visitors.
🎧 Audio guide available / Japanese available

👧 2. Anne Frank Statue

📍Merwedeplein / Corner of Westermarkt Square
1 minute walk from the museum. The bronze statue, standing with a gentle expression, quietly conveys Anne's presence to the present day. Flowers are sometimes offered here.

⛪ 3. Westertoren (Western Tower)

📍Prinsengracht 279, 1016 GW Amsterdam
The bell tower of the Westerkerk (Western Church), featured in Anne Frank's diary. She wrote that she heard the bells from her hiding place, making it feel like you're standing in the very scenery depicted in her diary. If the weather is nice, you can even climb the tower (additional fee).

🚤 4. Anne Frank Boat Tour

📍Departure: Near Prinsengracht 263
This special cruise (reservations required) tells the story of Anne Frank and the Jewish community as you cruise along the canals. Enjoy a hushed commentary and the historic cityscape reflected on the water's surface. A truly moving 40-minute tour. Guided tour available in English.

🌈 5. Triangle Monument and Stylish Souvenir Spots

📍Westermarkt, 1016 DK Amsterdam

The world's first monument commemorating those persecuted during the Nazi era consists of a triangular pink stone monument, and its jutting out into the canal makes a quiet photo spot.

The surrounding area is dotted with colorful gift shops selling rainbow-colored pin badges, notebooks, and postcards, offering souvenirs symbolizing memory and hope. Highly recommended:
• 🛍 RAINBOW GIFTS Amsterdam (near Prinsengracht 280)
• 🖼 Memento Art (unique LGBTQ+ art and goods)
• 💌 Original "Anne Frank x Rainbow" collaboration cards are also available at select stores.
