A little pocket of paradise

This trip was meant to be a short stop at the start of a month of travel but it turned out to be the most serene trip I have taken yet. Our hotel was walking distance from the adventure themepark called Skyland and from our room we could see the cable cars leading to the top of the mountain.

Skyland is an adventure themepark situated, quite literally, in the sky. We purchased a ticket on the day and caught a bus to the base of the mountain where we hopped on the cable car and started our day of fun. While Skyland was meant to be the highlight of the visit, it was actually the peaceful wilderness and beautiful vistas that were the real stars.

This trip is definitely one I would recommend if you are looking to disconnect from the world and reboot...just be sure to take your own snacks or western foods if you want because it is quite literally in the middle of nowhere.
