Henglang Mountain, located in Xihe Town, Wuhu, is the highest peak in Wuhu County. Surrounded by the Qingyi River, it offers convenient transportation by land and water. At 301.4 meters above sea level, Henglang Mountain's main peak is the highest in Wuhu County. Historically, the area was dotted with temples and shrouded in incense, earning it the reputation of " Little Jiuhua " and the saying " Jiuhua's Buddhahood originated in Henglang . "
Henglang Mountain is lush with trees, with two peaks facing each other, just like the corridors of Changxiadian. Nearby is Danxiang Mountain, with the White Horse Temple built to the east and the Xingyun Temple built during the reign of Emperor Wu of Liang to the south. Next to the temple is the Baiyun Pond, and below the pond is the Daiming Lake, which looks like a rock with immortals on it.
The Henglang Pagoda, built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, has a base area of 11.6 square meters, is about 29 meters high, has six sides and seven floors, and is made of specially made large bluestone. Each floor and each side has a round arch. In recent years, private individuals have raised funds to build the Huayan Temple, Guanyin Temple and the Main Hall on the original temple site, which are very popular.
