After watching the sunset at Chenluo Mountain, driving to Shan'an at dusk ensures a timely check-in without arriving too late.

The homestay is situated at a higher elevation, and staff will wait at the intersection to guide you. After parking, an electric cart transports luggage and guests to the homestay, where warm towels, hot tea, and desserts are served upon arrival.
For the room, I chose the mountain-view king bed—the daytime scenery is breathtaking! A vast expanse of lush green mountains fills the view, uplifting the spirit. Price: ¥1,298 on weekdays, ¥1,598 on weekends.
Drawbacks ☹️: The room is small, the bathroom is tiny, and the insistence on including a bathtub means showering inside it, leading to poor dry-wet separation and water everywhere—a nightmare for neat freaks, reminiscent of many European hotels.
❤️ Complimentary champagne is provided before bedtime, and you can book a private hot spring session in advance. Paired with moonlight and night views, it’s utterly relaxing. Shan'an’s nighttime ambiance is exceptional, featuring a bonfire & outdoor movie, creating a full atmosphere.
