Bamboo Forest Pool + Natural Stream｜Feel the Cool and Healing Vibes of Summer!

To catch the last bit of summer heat, I drove 2.5 hours 🚗 to this hidden Shang'an homestay beside a mountain stream in the depths of Anji. Just after the last mountain bend ⛰️, the entire homestay emerged from the bamboo forest 🎋. Green-tiled roofs and white walls nestled in the lush valley, with a silver ribbon-like stream flowing noisily in front 🌊. In the distance, mist slowly drifted around the mountain peaks. The moment I got out of the car, this natural oxygen bar instantly washed away the fatigue from the drive ～🏞️.

As soon as I opened the car door, I was amazed. The homestay is surrounded by green hills and fields 🌿. The dark eaves lightly curve upward, and wooden fences wind along the terrain 🪵, enclosing a spacious courtyard 🏡. The courtyard is neatly planted with fresh flowers 🌷. A century-old tree at the entrance is lush and leafy 🌲. The stone path under the tree is worn smooth and still glistens with the clear shine left by rainwater!

Walking into the room, the 180° floor-to-ceiling windows frame the entire bamboo forest and mountain view like a dynamic wallpaper. In the morning, opening the curtains reveals sunlight filtering through bamboo leaves onto the floor. In the evening, you can watch the mountain mist drift onto the windowsill 🌫️. Even the air carries the fresh scent of bamboo 🎋～​. The room features a gentle natural wood style, paired with a 100-inch giant projector screen and a mini fridge 🥤, making you want to lie down and never get up! The bathroom hides a little surprise! The dry and wet areas are separated and equipped with a thermostatic shower 🚿. After showering, wrap yourself in a towel and sit on the rattan chair by the window 🪑, sipping the Anji white tea provided by the homestay while enjoying the mountain view 🍵. This is what a vacation should feel like!

The best part of the homestay is that just a 3-minute walk 🚗 away is a natural stream. The water flows gently and there is a specially fenced safe area, so you don’t have to worry at all about kids playing in the water ～. As soon as I arrived and dropped off my luggage 🧳, I rushed to the stream, brought a small chair, and sat in the shallow water 🪑. My feet soaked in the icy-cool stream water 🌊 while watching the kids chase little fish 🐟 and scoop up stones. Their laughter startled the birds flying in the bamboo forest 🐦.

Afterwards, you must visit the homestay’s mountain-view swimming pool! The deep blue water reflects the bamboo forest and mountain scenery 🎋, as if the sky itself is captured in the pool ☁️. There are umbrellas and lounge chairs by the pool ⛱️. Occasionally, I got up to take some atmospheric photos—one nine-grid post on social media is never enough!

The homestay also has a geographical advantage: priority access to rafting. Right at the homestay’s entrance is a stop for the Tianmu Mountain rafting route. It’s a 5-minute walk 🚶 to the rafting starting point. While others are still standing in the blazing sun waiting in line ☀️, you’re already seated in your kayak ready to go 🚣‍♀️. No need to carry big bags 👜—travel light and easy. After all, it’s only five minutes back to the homestay, so no worries about catching a cold!

Staying here is not just about rafting. There are other attractions nearby, all within a 30-minute drive 🚗, so even the laziest won’t complain about being tired 💤.
