My Parenting Diary: Bringing Fairy Tales to Life for Two Days and One Night

As soon as we arrived at Yunshang Grassland Resort, our first stop was straight to check in at the Squirrel Tribe Hotel. Looking out the window, we saw a few round, chubby squirrels hopping on the tree branches outside. Even unpacking became exciting, with my child eagerly asking, "Mom, when can we go feed them?" After putting down our luggage, we dove right into the park. There was no worry about the kids having nowhere to play—there were so many attractions that it was hard to choose. Slides, climbing frames, and swings were all connected, and the kids ran from morning till afternoon, sweating but refusing to rest, fully enjoying their "free energy release." Midway, we remembered the carrots we bought in advance and crouched down at the squirrel feeding area, which was incredibly heartwarming. The little squirrels came over, their big round eyes adorably staring at us, holding the carrots in their paws and nibbling gently. The kids even held their breath, afraid to startle these clever little creatures, while I snapped photos nonstop.

After feeding the squirrels, we headed to the lakeside, where there was a different kind of fun. We scattered some feed to the ducks swimming over, watching them wiggle their tails as they scrambled for food. The kids laughed and clapped, even talking to the ducks🦆, saying, "Come over quickly!" The blue sky, reeds, and shimmering water by the lake made for stunning photos—every shot was a fresh and natural family picture without needing to find special angles.

In the afternoon, we checked out the Land of Oz, which was a visual delight! The vast greenery bathed in sunlight felt like stepping into a fairy tale, perfect for taking amazing photos. Walking with the kids to the edge of the rice fields, I taught them to recognize the shape of the rice ears and feel the texture of the leaves—much more intuitive than picture books. Remember to wear a long skirt and a straw hat, and take a photo standing by the rice field with your child; it’s gentle and full of life. This vacation⛱️ was truly worth it!

On the second day, breakfast was super abundant: Western-style bread and Chinese porridge dishes were all available. The kids’ favorites, wontons and shumai, were served steaming hot. The staff even proactively provided children’s utensils, taking care of every little detail, making mealtime stress-free. After eating their fill, the kids could happily run around the nearby Squirrel Tribe again.

Upon check-in, we enjoyed professional butler-style service. Just contact the butler via WeChat for anything—from check-in guidance to responding to requests, the service was thoughtful throughout, so we didn’t have to worry about trivial matters.

We also received free VIP fast-track access to Yunshang Grassland’s VIP projects and cable car VIP lanes, saving us from long queues and allowing us to enjoy popular attractions more conveniently and worry-free!

The free shuttle bus within the scenic area was available on demand, making it easy to travel between attractions and keeping the trip very convenient.

This family trip was completely flawless. The kids had a blast, and the parents could relax. Even after returning home, the kids kept saying, "We have to go see the squirrels again."
