A forest-style guesthouse hidden among bamboo seas and tea fields, Da Le Zhi Ye · Green Gables

Da Le Zhi Ye · Green Gables
Hecun Village, Hanggai Town, Anji, Huzhou
The hotel is located in Hecun Village, Hanggai Town, Anji County, Huzhou City, nestled between an endless sea of bamboo and tea fields, just a 2-3 hour drive from Hangzhou and Shanghai. It is recommended to drive there. Along the way, the bamboo forest grows denser and the mountain scenery becomes richer until the white-walled, gray-tiled buildings come into view—built along the mountain, one side overlooking the continuous bamboo sea, the other overlooking layered tea fields, like a real-life fairy tale residence straight out of "Anne of Green Gables."
The architectural team adopted a "light intervention" approach, preserving the original mountain terrain and vegetation, making the buildings appear as if they are growing out of the land, striving to present the rustic and free spirit of the native wilderness. The interior extensively uses natural wood materials combined with Japanese minimalist style, soft warm lighting, rattan furniture, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows that bring the bamboo forest, tea fields, and distant mountains indoors, with every frame a healing scene.
Phase one has 24 rooms and phase two has 18 rooms, totaling 42 guest rooms, including king/double beds, mountain view rooms, family rooms, and pet-friendly options. Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, private terraces or balconies, with natural wood and cotton-linen as main materials, paired with low-saturation tones to create a tranquil atmosphere. The dual system of floor heating and air conditioning ensures constant comfort, and the bathroom is equipped with eco-friendly toiletries scented with white tea, showing attention to detail everywhere.
