During the October holiday, I returned to my villa for a short stay and was surprised to discover fruit growing in the corners of the courtyard and outside the walls! This unexpected visitor truly delighted me! Who planted these fruits? My retirement life has been free and unfettered, with me traveling all over the country, from north to south. My kids are busy with their own things, and I have my own fun. Anshan in Northeast China is my second home! Bathing and scrubbing my body is a must-do every time I visit Northeast China, especially in the winter, when it's cold. A bathhouse with a moderate temperature provides a clean and comfortable wash. The author mentioned a bed of mud. My first time scrubbing my body, I was left with a pile of what Taiwanese call "鉎 (dirt)." I was so embarrassed! But then I realized that Taiwanese people aren't used to scrubbing their bodies, and in fact, washing them yourself isn't a good idea. I usually wash myself thoroughly from head to toe, then soak in a hot tub. There are several pools, and I can choose the temperature myself. I soak while watching TV or a movie, and completely relax. You can also go to the sauna (or steam room, as it's called in Taiwan), which opens your pores and allows impurities to be expelled. Then, you can go through a full-body bath. If you have enough time, you can steam and soak as many times as you like—that's the real enjoyment! Afterward, scrub your back. Be honest with the master, as if it's all business and nothing to be ashamed of. Before finishing, brush your teeth, shave, wash your hair, style it, and get yourself ready for a late-night snack. It's especially important to note that scrubbing your back can become a habit because it's so comfortable and makes you feel extra clean afterwards. I used to have itchy skin on my back, but it was actually because I didn't scrub thoroughly enough.
