Half-day tour in Anshun,|||1⃣️First, visit the Wu Temple, which is free and has only a few people. Inside, there is an unearthed stone hall and a batik museum. Take your time to walk around, look, and take photos. The Wu Temple features Guan Yu.
⃣️Then walk through the historical and cultural street. There are many small shops selling food along the way. I tried Lin Ji desserts, brown sugar sweet wine cake, and old ice powder, all for 7 yuan each. I also tasted the local pickled peppers. It felt very leisurely, and I heard the sound of people playing mahjong in several alleys.
⃣️Continue walking north to reach the Wen Temple, which charges 10 yuan per person. It is the best-preserved Wen Temple building in Guizhou Province, retaining the historical appearance of the Ming and Qing dynasties. There are several small halls, and the Wen Temple features Confucius.
⃣️Had a simple lunch nearby: Guai Lu rice 10 yuan, egg fried rice 10 yuan, wonton 10 yuan, Yunnan soda 6 yuan, spicy chicken noodles 8 yuan. I wasn't full, so I saved some room for snacks on Gu Fu Street.
⃣️Visited Qing Tai An on the way, a small temple where I burned incense.
⃣️Across from Qing Tai An is Hongshan Lake Pier. A boat ride costs 60 yuan per hour. I chose a Piggy Knight boat, wore a life jacket, and got a bit sunburned on my arms.
⃣️Finally arrived at Gu Fu Street and started eating snacks. Due to catching a train, I didn't have much time to explore. The Yanpi wonton was okay, medium portion for 10 yuan. Xie Ji ice slurry 12 yuan, I had mango and watermelon flavor, which was good. Also bought 5 yuan of tofu strips, which were spicy and chewy. A glutinous rice family set for 10 yuan (with duck egg, chicken fillet, and sweet sausage), a box of watermelon (1.5 yuan per jin, a quarter for 9 yuan), a potato cake for 5 yuan, and a fried banana for 6 yuan each.
