🏯Introduction to scenic spots: The Confucian Temple is located in the ancient city. The temple is famous for its stone carvings. The various halls also have quite obvious architectural features of the Anshun area - white stone walls, black tiles, and elegant colors, but the appearance of the building is average. The environment of the Confucian Temple is very quiet, with ancient trees along the road. The bluestone slabs are basically cracked, and the regular gaps between the slabs and the winding gaps in the cracks are full of green grass. The carvings on the archway are quite exquisite, but perhaps due to the climate, the stone carvings on the lintel are stained with gray ink.
✅Must-check-in: The most amazing thing about Anshun Confucian Temple is the stone carvings. The most exquisite among them is the coiled dragon column under the eaves of the Dacheng Hall.
It is not only the "treasure of the city" of Anshun, but also a "national treasure"-level cultural relic.
The bases of the two eaves columns are stone-carved male and female lions. The male lion has a hydrangea under his feet, and the female lion has a copper bell in her mouth and a lion cub in her arms. It combines a variety of stone carving techniques such as deep and shallow relief, openwork, round carving, and hollow carving.
