✅ Seda, known as the "world's largest Buddhist academy," is a mysterious tourist destination.
❤️ Transportation: There are direct buses from Chengdu Chadianzi Bus Terminal to Seda County. There are one or two buses every day at around 6 am. Tickets cost over CNY 200, and the journey takes about 12 hours.
✅ Tickets: The ticket policy for Seda Buddhist Academy has changed. Please check the latest information in advance.
🌸 Accommodation: There are many hotels in Seda County. We recommend choosing accommodation with heating and hot water to cope with the cold in winter. There is also accommodation in the Buddhist Academy, such as Larung Hotel, but the conditions are relatively simple.
✅ Winter travel tips:
• Seda is about 3,800 meters above sea level and has a plateau monsoon climate. The average annual temperature is around 0°C. The temperature in winter can drop to around -10°C, so you need to prepare enough warm clothes, such as down jackets, sweaters, thermal underwear, thick pants, scarves, hats, gloves, etc.
• To prevent altitude sickness, you can take Rhodiola rosea oral liquid in advance, maintain a good attitude, and avoid strenuous exercise.
• Respect local religious and cultural customs, such as not taking pictures of temples, monks, and Tibetans, and not climbing religious buildings.

• 3-day itinerary: Chengdu - Kangding - Tagong Grassland - Seda Larung Gar Buddhist Academy - Larung Hotel.
• Seda + Sichuan-Tibet Line 10-day tour, covering more attractions.
❤️ Food: Seda mainly serves Sichuan and Tibetan cuisine. There are restaurants with various flavors in the county, especially around Jinma Square.
✅ Other: We recommend bringing some common medicines, such as cold medicine and glucose, to deal with altitude sickness. Also, since Seda's tourist facilities are relatively simple, we recommend bringing some food and water.
