The location is fantastic especially for the nature lovers .
If you're the sort of person who wants to see grand and impressive buildings, Olympos might not be for you.. most of the structures still standing are relatively modest in comparison to say, Ephesos or Hierapolis. But if you're looking to experience the sense of mystery and wonder that the first explorers who "discovered" the ruined cities of antiquity must have felt as they stumbled through the overgrown streets, there are surely few sites anywhere in Türkiye which allow your imagination to go into overdrive quite like the ruins of the ancient Lycian city of Olympos.
The gently crumbling stone buildings of the ancient town, which are nestled within a forest that's a only few meters from the shores of the Mediterranean, seem to exude an air of quiet mystery.. especially as you make your way deeper into the forest to explore the parts of the site which are off the main trail down to the beach. Speaking of the beach, you can always take a break from wandering in the woods checking out the remains of the ancient site to go chill on the shore and watch the waves.
Simply put, if you're looking for vast, imposing architectural monuments, then Olympos might not be your cup of tea… but even if you are, I'd still recommend you give the site a visit, because there's something about the setting which might just win Olympos a special place in your traveler's heart!
No words... This place is wonderful!!! You can visit the ruins enjoying at the same time a wonderful sea!! It is a very fashinating place, ruins and nature live togheter in a great symbiosis.
