#summervacay Spent a couple hours at the Antalya Archaeological Museum and seriously, I did not expect to be that impressed. Like yeah, it’s a museum, but it’s packed with insanely cool stuff from thousands of years ago, statues, sarcophagi, mosaics, ancient coins, you name it. History nerd or not, this place is wild.
The marble statues are HUGE and super detailed, like, how did people even carve this stuff back then?! The Hall of Emperors is basically a lineup of Roman stone celebrities. There’s also a kids’ section and some cool artifacts from ancient cities like Perge and Aspendos.
The layout’s clean and chill, with good A/C (blessing in Antalya’s heat), and signs in English too. It’s not too crowded, so you can wander at your own pace.
Perfect spot to dive into the history of the region before (or after) hitting the ruins. Totally worth the visit, cool, educational, and low-key epic. Definitely not your average boring museum day!
