Changbai Mountain is incredibly beautiful in winter. Most people enter the area from the north slope and then go up to Tianchi Lake. It is recommended to join a tour group when going to Changbai Mountain, either a one-day tour or a local tour. Entry to the scenic area depends on the weather. If you go by yourself on the day, you won’t be able to see Tianchi due to strong winds on the top of the mountain. However, the scenic spots in other parts of Changbai Mountain are so beautiful that they are like the hidden secret places in the martial arts world where people practice peerless martial arts.
The local government also manages the scenic area very well, and there are shuttle buses between scenic spots. Outside vehicles are allowed to enter. Be prepared for the cold in winter. There are warm equipment such as coats for rent at the foot of the mountain. Finally, be sure to apply sunscreen because the sun is super strong.
