This weekend's city walk was a reverse walk with kids. Because of the Spring Festival Gala, there were probably 100 million people in Wuxi, so we went to Zhangjiagang to eat and play, which was a 40-minute drive away.
Jiyang Lake is the backyard of Zhangjiagang people, with a good ecology and many small animals.
📍Detailed address: Jiyang Lake Ecological Park
🚉Transportation: Self-driving; there are several parking lots in the park, all of which are free.
🕙Opening hours: 9:00-4:30
🎫Tickets: None
⏳Duration: 1-4 hours, the lake is huge, and it takes 4 hours to walk around it.
🗓Travel tips:
No strategy is needed, just walk around and it's beautiful. The lake is half Jiyang Lake and half Mirror Lake, but it's actually one lake.
Walk on the wooden plank road on the lake and bask in the sun. There are many cute little ducks on the lake, and the sparkling water gives off a kind of cold beauty. The metasequoia in the ecological wetland park has turned red, and there are many fallen leaves, which are great for taking photos. You can walk on the gravel road and relax for a whole day. There is basically no one, so you can have the place to yourself.
The boat ride is 50 yuan for 30 minutes, and it's for one boat, not one person, which is a great price.
📝Notes:
✅Pets: You can bring dogs inside, so you can walk your kids and dogs.
✅Food: There are small shops and vending machines inside, but you can only buy simple food.
✅Sand digging: Kids can bring sand digging tools. The lake water is very clear, with no waves, and kids can dig sand on the beach.
✅You can set up a tent inside.
👍Recommendation:
After visiting in the afternoon, you can go to Pegasus Water City next door to eat and drink. Just in time for the sunset, the lights of Pegasus Water City are also amazing.
