Just got back from suffering at Changbai Mountain, really don't recommend visiting in June

Listen up, friends! Having just "survived the tribulation" at Changbai Mountain, I must sound the alarm!! 🚨 Take my advice!! Visiting Changbai Mountain in June is a complete rip-off!! I thought I'd see the breathtaking Tianchi Lake and check out the fairy-tale forests🌲, but ended up battling the weather, crowds, and temperature swings the whole time😭. This is my complete list of pitfalls, grab your popcorn and listen up!!

🌫️Weather: Changes faster than flipping a page!!

Checked the forecast before leaving - all sunny days☀️. Packed cute dresses and sunscreen happily... then reality hit hard the moment I got off the high-speed train!! June at Changbai Mountain is like dealing with a "moody psycho"😤. Morning was so hot I was sweating, then suddenly dark clouds rolled in by afternoon🌪️. Stood in line in short sleeves for half an hour, shivering from cold!! Even crazier - just as I took out my camera, a hailstorm came crashing down⛈️❄️. My brand new sun umbrella got blown inside out!! Want pretty photos? Dream on! All my shots were full of miserable people in raincoats👥.

🚗Transportation: Crowded AND full of hidden traps!!

High-speed train tickets to Changbai Mountain are harder to get than concert tickets!! 🚄 Finally got tickets, only to be shocked at the scenic area - the line for shuttle buses wrapped around eight bends!! Stood for 2 solid hours before squeezing onto a bus🚌. Even worse were the transfers within the scenic area - had to queue again for every vehicle change. Those few kilometers from the foot to Tianchi Lake took half a day!! Plus the shuttle rides were so bumpy I thought my organs would rearrange💔.

🏞️Attractions: Those influencer photos are total scams!!

Those gorgeous Tianchi Lake photos made my heart race💓. Reality? Thick fog where you couldn't see anything!! Just endless white, could barely find the guardrails around the lake🙃. Where was that promised "sapphire blue"? Just icy wind howling down my neck🌬️. The forest hiking trails? All muddy paths that turned my new white sneakers into "mud shoes"👟. Wanted to collect pinecones? Forget it! Just sharp branches that hurt my hands!!

🍜Food: Wallet-hurting disappointments!!

Thought I'd feast on authentic Northeast cuisine, but everything was a rip-off!! 🥶 Restaurants near the scenic area were outrageously expensive - 48 yuan for a basic bowl of noodles🍜. The iron-pot fish stew had tiny portions, over 150 yuan per person and still hungry!! The only edible thing was roasted corn🌽 - so tough and old I nearly chipped a tooth!! Tearful warning: Never buy fruit in the scenic area - 68 yuan for a tiny box of blueberries, what a robbery!!

🥶Temperature swings: Can't dress right no matter what!!

Changbai Mountain's temperature changes are pure sorcery!! 🌡️ Morning in a down jacket sweating to death, afternoon in short sleeves shivering from cold!! Bring too few clothes and freeze, bring too many and collapse from exhaustion😭. Saw people wandering around in quilt-like raincoats - hilarious yet heartbreaking...😭

Listen up friends!! Unless you want to experience "Lost on Journey" in real life, seriously don't visit Changbai Mountain in June!! 🙅‍♀️ Either wait for stable weather in July/August, or come in autumn for the colorful foliage🍁. At least you won't be paying to suffer!! This trip left me physically and mentally exhausted - now I just want to lie at home with AC😩.
