Looking for the most magical sunset spot in Ao Nang? Head to the Ao Nang Cliff Viewpoint or simply time your walk along the Ao Nang Beach Promenade just right. As the sun sinks behind the Andaman Sea, the sky turns into a palette of orange, pink, and purple—framing the dramatic limestone cliffs that make this coast famous.
🌅 Where to go:
– Ao Nang Beach: The easiest and most scenic option. Just walk to the western end of the beach and grab a spot on the sand or at a beach bar like The Last Fisherman.
– Ao Nang Fiore Viewpoint: Book a table at the Ao Nang Fiore Zipline Café, perched up in the forest, for panoramic sunset views.
– Nopparat Thara Beach: Quieter and great for wide-open sky reflections—perfect for long walks at sunset.
🕕 Best time to go: Between 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM (dry season sunsets are most vivid: Nov–Mar)
📸 Photo tip:
– Shoot toward the islands for that classic Ao Nang silhouette
– Use reflections on the wet sand after tide-out for dramatic foregrounds
💡 Local tip: After sunset, stay by the beach for seafood barbecue or walk the promenade’s night market stalls.
