Sendai, Miyagi. Try Sendai's local gourmet dish "Mabo Yakisoba". "Tonton Ramen"

While strolling around the city of Sendai, I saw flags and signs advertising "Sendai specialty 'Mabo Yakisoba'".

Since I was a tourist, I couldn't help but try the local cuisine, so I tried the Mabo Yakisoba at Ton Ton Ramen.

After placing my order, the Mabo Yakisoba (950 yen) arrived.

When I flipped over the mountain of mapo tofu, I could see a glimpse of the yakisoba.

It even came with soup!

My impression of it was simple: yakisoba topped with mapo tofu, but the taste and doneness of the mapo tofu and yakisoba may vary from restaurant to restaurant!

There was a list of participating stores of "Sendai Mabo Yakisoba" at the storefront, so why not try the local gourmet food when you're sightseeing in Sendai? 😊
