Hakkōda Ropeway Sanroku Station is the starting point for exploring the majestic Hakkōda Mountains in Aomori. I arrived early to catch the first gondola and was rewarded with sweeping views of lush forests and misty peaks. The ropeway takes you up to the summit in about 10 minutes, offering breathtaking sights in every season—green in summer, golden in autumn, and pure white in winter. The station itself has a cozy rest area and vending machines.

Travel Tip: Check weather conditions before going—the ropeway may pause for strong winds, and visibility varies greatly with the season.
