Golden Week in Arxan! (National Day) Truly beautiful!

Old Guo never recommends Arxan in summer, but Arxan in autumn is really worth a visit, especially during the National Day Golden Week! The main reason is that many people from big cities are too busy during the year and can only travel during the National Day holiday. So today, let's talk about some travel information you need to know when visiting Arxan during the National Day!

Don’t want to wait in line? Then stay inside the park for two days!

For an immersive and leisurely trip, you need to stay consecutively. There’s no need to rush like most tourists, trying to follow a tightly scheduled itinerary. The Arxan Park ticket itself is a 2-day pass. Recently, someone complained about spending over 200 yuan to enter in the afternoon and leaving at night after visiting only two scenic spots... a bit of a waste! It even trended online, and the Arxan official account came out to explain. Actually, the problem was the visitor’s poor time planning. Arxan Forest Park is one of the few places Old Guo recommends spending 2 days exploring! The scenery inside is truly different everywhere and worth your immersive visit!

There is snow in Arxan during National Day, so stay in a warm room!

Every year during National Day, Arxan surprises everyone with snow❄️. The golden forest combined with white snow creates even richer colors! But you also need to keep warm. Besides a down jacket, you need a warm place to stay. I remember on October 4th two years ago, I took my kids to Arxan and stayed at Tianchi Resort Hotel, which was the best hotel in the park at the time. But it was very cold at night, and the room heater was not very effective! So if you stay two days inside the park, I only recommend three hotels: Bugu Mingju, Weijing Hot Spring, and the deluxe standard room at Arxan Fisherman’s Home! Prices during National Day are not cheap, but when you travel, don’t skimp on accommodation, really don’t🙅🏻‍♀️.

Arxan is not very suitable for family trips with elderly and young children

If you are traveling with elders over 70 years old or kids under 4, I might suggest you visit the northern route of Hulunbuir in autumn instead of Arxan. Arxan requires hiking and there are many mountain climbing spots. For safety and relaxation reasons, Old Guo does not recommend this kind of three-generation autumn trip to Arxan! Unless the elders are very fit and the kids love hiking, then it’s a different story.

How to arrange an immersive trip to Arxan?

Stay 2 days in Arxan city, visit places like Bailang Peak, Forest Ranch, Yangxin Bathing Road, and Arxan Port;

Stay 2 days in Arxan Park, which has about 30 scenic spots big and small, enough for you to leisurely enjoy the scenery and relax your tired heart!

If you have more time, add northern places like Manzhouli, Erguna, Enhe, Genhe, and Moerdaoga! Combine them into a north-south route and have a northern Xinjiang autumn trip!
