[Hokkaido] Otokoyama Sake Park, Sake Brewery Museum: Exhibition of traditional Japanese sake culture, fusion of modern elements

#AprilGoodDestinations2025

OTOKOYAMA SAKE PARK is a new landmark in Hokkaido that will be completed in September 2024. It not only showcases traditional Japanese sake culture, but also incorporates modern entertainment elements, allowing visitors of all ages to enjoy endless fun.

The first thing that catches your eye is the world's first "one-liter bottle slide". The 12-meter-long slide is inspired by the traditional one-liter wine bottle. In the Wine Glass Square, children can run freely in the undulating terrain and hide in the giant wine glass.

The old building in the park is the Otokoyama Sake Brewery Museum, which exhibits the 350-year history of Otokoyama sake. The sake brewing culture is introduced in detail here, giving people a deeper understanding of this traditional craft. From ancient winemaking tools to modern production processes, every exhibit is a witness to history.

The first floor of the new building is the center of the amusement area, which not only has various game facilities but also provides limited products of Otokoyama Sake Brewery. Visitors can taste a variety of Japanese sake here. Whether it is a free trial or a paid exclusive experience, it is an enjoyment not to be missed. In addition, they also offer coffee and ice cream made with brewing water, and even if you visit in winter, you can't help but try the famous sake ice cream.

On the outside of the first floor, visitors can freely use the underground stream water from the Great Snow Mountain. This is the water used for brewing Nanshan wine. It is clear and sweet, making people feel the gift of nature.
