I went to the checkpoint in Hakone ☺️

During the Edo period, the shogunate set up 53 checkpoints across Japan to protect Edo.

The Hakone checkpoint was one of them.

A checkpoint is a place where the luggage of travelers and people traveling along the roads is inspected.

The local guide will carefully explain what it was like at the time❗️

There is also a museum, so it's a recommended place for history lovers😌

I think you can take your time to look around the checkpoint in about an hour.
