Aso Volcano 🌋 in Kyushu, Japan is made up of five peaks ⛰️, it is one of the largest craters in the world.
The first crater of Zhongyue 🌋 is still smoking 💨 and sometimes even erupting 🔥.
So entering Aso Volcano 🌋 requires some luck 🍀, the staff will judge whether tourists can go up the mountain according to the weather conditions ☀️, wind direction, volcanic eruption status and gas concentration of the day, only about half of the tourists have the opportunity to see the interior of the volcano every year.
One morning we left Hakata a little worried😟 the mountain was closed, but we were quite lucky to join the ARIAIR 15-minute helicopter 🚁 tour we had booked as scheduled to see this 🤩 active volcano up close!
The moment I lifted from the ground, my heart beat faster💓, the scenery in front of me slowly unfolded like a scroll👏, with large green fields, craters, and lakes at a glance🏞️.
The pilot 👨✈️ will also brief us on the history of Aso Volcano 📜, so that we can learn more about this 🌋 magnificent geological wonder.
During the flight, the clouds outside the window and the sunlight intertwined ☀️, taking pictures and videos super beautiful 📸, each picture can be directly made a postcard 😆.
After returning to the ground, my heart is still racing 💥, feeling the heat of the earth and the sound of wind intertwined 🚁, it is an unforgettable experience 👍.
Then we switched from land to the volcanic viewing area, due to the high temperature gas 💨 constantly ejected by Aso Volcano 🌋 with a high concentration of sulfur dioxide, the volcanic lake also contains a large amount of strong acidic sulfuric acid 🧪.
So once you get near the scenic spot, the air is filled with gases harmful to the human body⚠️, and your eyes 👁️ and your throat 🗣️ hurt.
Up to the observation deck🗻, looking at the crater in the distance, you can see the smoke non-stop, just like the breath of nature💨, it's really eye-opening🤩.
Because this is an active volcano 🌋, there are many shelter trenches 🛡️ scattered around, we took a picture nearby and suddenly the alarm 🚨, many staff rushed out to instruct us to evacuate immediately.
It turns out that they detected the volcano 🌋 suddenly became active, the thick smoke 💨 kept erupting, the concentration of harmful gases surged ⚠️, so they had to evacuate everyone immediately and close the mountain immediately.
Then we went to the nearby Kusanagi Chiri no Bin🌾, a vast plain in this area, you can see the horses 🐎 leisurely strolling, and can overlook the smoke of the eruption of Zhongyue, here there are also souvenir shops and restaurants, I also ate ice cream made with Aso milk 🍨 and horse meat sashimi.
So whether you want to challenge the excitement🌟 or like the natural scenery🌱, the Aso Volcano and ARIAIR helicopter tours are definitely worth a try✅.
Next time a friend asks me about the must-see attractions in Kyushu👉, this will definitely be my first choice🏅.
