[Hyogo Prefecture/Izanagi Shrine] A power spot that traces the myth of the creation of the country

Izanagi Shrine on Awaji Island.

This is the land associated with the creation myth, and is recorded in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki!

The gods living in Takamagahara appointed Izanagi and Izanami to create the country, and Awaji Island was the first to be created.

In the shrine grounds, there is the "Sun Signpost Monument," and on the solar movement map, there are a number of notable power spot shrines, including Ise Shrine, Izumo Taisha, and Suwa Taisha.

Other highlights include:

◉ A pair of large camphor trees that are about 900 years old

◉ The Hojo Shrine Pond

The grounds are about 43,000 square meters, and as the Ichinomiya of Awaji Province, it is one of the places you definitely want to see.
