I have always longed for Izanagi Shrine
Japan's oldest shrine, dedicated to Izanagi-no-Mikoto and Izanami-no-Mikoto, who appear in the creation myths in the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki
And the mystery of how shrines related to Izanagi-no-Mikoto line up in a straight line in the direction of the sun on the vernal and autumnal equinoxes and the summer and winter solstices
Is it possible to accurately measure latitude and longitude from such ancient times? Could the movement of the sun be known?
I forgot to take a picture, but if you look at the stone monument called "Sun Signpost", you can see the relative positions of the shrines.
For more details, please google it.ᐟ.ᐟ
It gives me goosebumps ·͜· ♡
