🌅 Sweet Escape on the West Coast of Awaji Island

Who knew the west coast of Awaji Island could feel like such a resort getaway? We took a weekend drive and were pleasantly surprised by the number of charming cafés and seaside spots scattered along the coast. It’s calm, scenic, and full of places you’ll want to linger.

One highlight was visiting the newly opened Awaji Chef Garden by Pasona. Set right by the ocean, it’s the perfect place to stop for a dessert break with a view. We enjoyed sweets while gazing out at the clear blue sea—so peaceful and refreshing. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be during sunset.

If you’re looking for a relaxed coastal road trip destination just a short ride from the mainland, Awaji’s west side has all the island vibes you need.
