Just because of this balloon flying/driving I booked this Myanmar trip. It was just gigantic!!! You will be picked up from the hotel at around 5.15 am and driven to the starting place by a vintage bus. There you are briefed, then we were divided into two groups. There are hot drinks and some cookies. The many employees work very well to erect the balloon. Before we were divided into four groups of four per balloon because there are 16 seats and we were shown how to get in and how to behave when landing. Organizationally, it was all top class. After about 20 minutes the balloon was completely erected and we were allowed to board. All seats have the same view. Again and again the flame was lit until the balloon rose sublimely into the air. Such an emotional feeling, tears were in my eyes. The sophisticated technique of the balloon and safety of the pilot Andy, gave me a maximum sense of safety (I am an engineer). Since photo appliqués no longer make noise when triggered today, one took the thousandfold triggering of photos the passenger was not at all. It is very calm and harmonious. Only the firing made noises every now and then. You got the feeling Andy was steering the balloon like a car. The images that you are offered are unique. There's plenty to see on the net. The landing was also professional. We touched down and were held on the ground by staff with ropes. Then Andy lifted the balloon just a few inches so people could pull the balloon into a free space. Only now were we allowed to get back up from our security position and then get out with the help of the staff to toast this bombastic experience with the obligatory champagne. If you don't have money, it's understandable, if fear prevents you from not starting this balloon experience, FORGET it. We all felt like we were in Abraham's womb. We were then taken by bus back to the hotel, where we arrived about 9am in time for breakfast. Remember to pack your suitcase with something warm. Another word on security in Myanmar. I landed in Rangoon and flew on to Bagan after one night. Overnight at the “Aureum Palace Hotel” (Gigantic location). After two days back to Rangoon (flights only on Fridays and Sundays at the moment). Five days would be too much. Another overnight stay at the Pan Pacific Hotel. First class hotel with the gigantic breakfast. Then back to Bangkok. I didn't feel like I was safe in any second of this trip. So take this journey and especially the balloon flight! I had a guide from “mASIA” or you book with “DIAMIR”
