The Wusun Ancient Trail is one of the most beautiful hiking routes in Xinjiang. The full traverse is approximately 110 kilometers with a total elevation gain of about 4,300 meters. The highest point, Akebulak Daban Pass, reaches an altitude of 3,860 meters. The entire route requires crossing rivers over 40 times, making it a true test of both physical endurance and courage.
[ThumbsUp][ThumbsUp] But the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.
This trail encapsulates all the highlights of Xinjiang's hiking routes:
Vast grasslands and flower-filled meadows,
Alpine meadows and dense spruce forests,
Snow-capped mountains and alpine lakes,
Silk Road culture and historical heritage.
Located in a unique geographical position, it traverses the northern and southern Tianshan Mountains, requiring over 40 river crossings—thrilling yet perilous.
