Noumea Rampage, Part 2: Exploring the hidden gems of New Caledonia’s capital

My dears 👋, let’s continue to share with you the awesome places to visit in Noumea 🎉!

🍋 Baie des Citrons/Lemon Bay/Lemon Bay
There are two interesting theories about the origin of the name of Lemon Bay🤔. One theory is that before 1900, it was planted with lemon trees, but no lemon trees can be seen now; another theory is that it was originally called Anse du Styx, and the name came from the fact that a steam sloop carrying 6 huge tree trunks was stranded in the bay. This place is rich in historical legends and is worth a visit~

🌊 Anse Vata Bay
If Nice is proud of the Promenade des Anglais, then Noumea can definitely be proud of the beautiful scenery of the South Pacific Lagoon in Anse Vata Bay🥰. It is on the east side of the Bay of Lemons, on the coastal beach between Rocher à la voile and Pointe Magnin. Because it is located in the lagoon, the sea water extends from the inside to the outside, the color continues to deepen, and it is extremely beautiful🌅. Moreover, the supporting facilities here are very complete, with many hotels, restaurants, bars and shops. In the afternoon or evening, locals and tourists gather here to enjoy the sun and the beach. It is a perfect place for vacation🏖️.
