The Azerbaijan Carpet Museum is so special as it houses the most magnificent collection of carpets and textiles from Azerbaijan the centre of the world for traditional carpet making. The colours and patterns are so unusual and iconic of the region. The museum is on three levels with an exhibition in the Foyer of contemporary textile artists. There is a fabulous shops that sells textile artefacts, gifts and postcards. I loved drawing and painting in a sketchbook with a coffee and a cake. A fabulous visit for travellers of culture and textiles!
